LANDRUM NEWS NOTES Mrs. C. M. Littlefield T.^PWoman’s Society of Chris tian Service met Tuesday evening, at the home of Mrs. A. M, Jones with Mrs. William Wright as co hostess. The program topic, “A Vision from the Mountain”, was given by Miss Myrtle Foster. After the program and business session a stork party, honoring Mrs. Wayne Clark was enjoyed by 25 members and friends. The hostess served party cakes, cookies, nuts and hot tea. The Weeder’s Garden Club held its March meeting in the form of a covered dish luncheon on Wed nesday at the home of Mrs. P. E. Christopher on Forest Park Drive. Following the luncheon, a busi ness meeting was held presided over by Mrs. B. F. Carruth, presi dent. Mrs. P. E. Christopher gave a devotional pertaininer to flower gardens. Mrs. Burt Walden pre sented horticultural hints suitable for the growing of camellias and azaleas. The president asked the members to plant thrift at the roadside park along highway No. 176. The club was requested to help with arrangements for the spring flower show in Spartan burg. A committee composed of Mrs. R. B. Thomson, Mrs. Burt Walden and Mrs. Judson Woodruff was appointed to plan the arrange ments for the daffodil show in Spartanburg. The club was invited to attend the state meeting of garden clubs and also the Greer daffodil show. The retiring presi dent, Mrs. E. F.
