John B. Kelly and R. H. Fox an
nounce a meeting Tuesday night at
7:30 at the Agriculture Building
to organize a town team. Any boys
or men who are interested in being
on the town team are asked to meet
at this time.
Mr. and Mrs. John Neil announce
the birth of a daughter, Patricia
Elaine, born March 4. at the Gen
eral Hospital in Spartanburg.
Grandparents are Mrs. James Neil
and Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Smith.
Guests last weekend of Mrs. R.
L. Lee were Mrs. Robert Moe of
Valpraisa, La., and Mrs. Dora
Miller of Chester.

The Philethea Class of the First
Baptist Church met Thursday
night at the home of Mrs. R. A.
Burress, Mrs. Arthur Belue gave
the devotional. Mrs. Joseph Lee,
teacher, conducted a Bible contest,
“Goats and Sheep.” Birthday
greeting extended to Mrs. A. J.
Mitchell and Miss Maime Cantrell.
Birthday cake, salted nuts and
hot coffee was served by the hostess
assisted by Mrs. Yates Gilmore and
Mrs. Kermit Bullock. Mrs. Annie
Bunch was a visitor.
