Spartanburg. — Golfdom’s top
women professionals will arrive in
Spartanburg this week to prep for
the first annual Peach Blossom
Betsy Rawls Invitational Open
Golf Tournament at Spartanburg
Country Club. A $3,500 purse will
be at stake and the area’s peach
blossoms will combine with the
tournament to bring scores of visi
tors to view both events.
Participating professionals will
be Betsy Rawls of Spartanburg,
Alice Bauer, Marlene Bauer, Patty
Berg, Betty Bush, Betty Dodd,
Beverly Hanson, Betty Jameson,
Peggy Kirk, Betty MacKinnon,
Jackie Pung, Marilyn Smith,
Louise Suggs, Babe Zaharias.
A pre-tourney clinic will be held
Thursday afternoon, March 18, at
Spartanburg Country Club. The
three day 54-hole medal play tour
nament will start Friday afternoon
at 1 p. m., at the Club.

for sale at cost at the Bulletin

Virginia, has accepted the invita
tion to judge the hunters, jumpers
and equitation class at the Tryon
Horse Show on April 15th.

Social Agencies will meet Thurs
day, March 19th at 5 p. m. at
