Ford on March 14th at 5 o’clock
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Fisher in Gastonia, N. C.
A program of wedding music
was presented by Gene Russell
and Miss Ellen Caldwell.
The ceremony was performed
by the Rev. Love Dixon before
an altar of palms and white
gladiolus.
The bride wore a powder blue
suit with a white flower hat and
navy accessories. She carried a
white orchid attached to a white
prayer book.
Alter tne wedding a reception
was held in the Fisher home, with
Mrs. L. L. Mitchell, sister of the
bride, presiding at the punch bowl.
The wedding cake was served by
Mrs. Robert Stowe.
Mrs. Ford, is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Garrett of
Blairsville, Georgia, and Mr. Ford
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Ford of Lynn, N. C.
Out o^ town guests were Mrs.
Rubini Rhodes, Mr. and Mrs. G.
H. Keanun of Hendersonville, N.
C., Mrs. Ina Garrett, Miss Genelle
Scoggins of Trvon, N. (j., Miss

After a short wedding trip Mr.
and Mrs. Ford will reside at 210
East Airline, Gastonia, N. C.

The Seniors of Tryon High
School have begun work on their
class play which is scheduled for
April 10th.
The play is a delightful one
with clever lines, interesting char
acters, and peppy songs. Those
who have seen the practice consider
it even better entertainment than
“The Little Dog Laughed” which
the 1952 Seniors presented and
which was written by the same
