MISS ANNE DUNSTER
Miss Anne Dunster, 77, passed
away Thursday night at St. Luke’s
Hospital at 10:05. Funeral ser
vices will be held Saturday morn
ing at 11 at the Congregational
Church with the Rev. Orville II.
White, pastor, officiating.
Miss Dunster was a daughter of
the late Dr. Edward Dunster,
teacher in medical schools. She
was a prominent language teach
er and taught in Paris, France, and
later in Philadelphia. One of her
forebears was the first president
of Harvard University.
Miss Dunster had made her win
ter home in Tryon for the past
several years and was a guest at
Oak Hall.
Election Officials Named
For Municipal Election
The Town of Tryon election
officials were announced Friday
morning1 bv Town Clerk C. O.
Smith as follows:
Registrar, Mrs. Charles Mac
Donald; judges. Rev. Charles L.
McGavern and Clarence Smith.
The town election is non-partisan
and candidates will be listed on
a municipal ticket.
The election will be held the
first Tuesday in Mav on the 5t>
from 6:30 a. m. to 6:30 p. m. and
the successful candidates will take
office the next dav.
Registration books will he nnen
from April 18th to Aoril Pfith.
All citizens of 21 who have livort
in the State one yean and in ttn
town four months will be eligible
to register. Former citizens who
have returned to Tryon recently
must register a vain, as a new
registration was held last vear for
the bond election and old names
