WOMEN MEET TUESDAY AT COUNTRY CLUB The Women’s Golf Association will hold their regular luncheon Tuesday at 1 p. m., at the Tryon Country Club. President Elena Garcia announces that there will be an important business meeting at this time. FIRE PROGRAM TUESDAY The Tryon Volunteer Fire De partment will give a program on safety and fire prevention Tuesday night at 7:30 at the Tryon High School auditorium. Morgan has return ed to her home in Tryon after a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Wil liam Rockhill, and family at Fort Wayne, Ind. A.’s and Sun Beams will meet Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist church. The men of the B. T. U. wiil be hosts to the ladies of the B. T. U. Saturday night, March 28th, at Brookwood Park. The pastor, Dr. P. H. Anderson, will also be present. All members are invited. The Philathea Somday school class will meet next Sunday morn ing at 10 at the home of Mrs. Luther Bishop, an invalid for the past three years, who is a charter member of the class. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ervin of Birmingham, Ala., have arrived in Landrum for a visit with Mr. Er vin’s sister, Mrs. John G. Land rum and family.
