The committee and the boys of
Scout Troop No. 2 are very grate
ful to Mr. Nelson Jackson for a set
of 88 merit badge booklets. These
books are a real gift of value.
They will help the boys to know
what they must do to satisfy the
requirements for each badge they
go up for.
The P.-T. A. of Embury school
is again sponsoring a Family
Life program. The dates for the
programs are: Wednesday, March
25; Monday, March 30 and Wed
nesday, April 1st. These meetings
will begin at 8:15 These pro
grams are designed to study fam
ily problems and try to develop
better home life in order that
our children may have better
homes to live in. We are expect
ing all parents to support these
programs by attending each meet
ing. The program is under the
direction of Mrs. Elizabeth Jobe,
a representative of the State De
partment of Public Education.
The Embury Rockets baseball
team will open the season Wed
nesday, March 25, against the
Spartanburg Tigers at the South
Howard Street park. Game time
is 4 p. m.
