Townsend Named Editor Asheville, Mar. 26.—Philip Van Buren Townsend, son of Mrs. Stryker Townsend, Melrose Lane, Tryon, has been elected to the position of associate editor of the 1954 Board of The Ashnoca, news paper of Asheville School, Ashe ville, N. C., according to Mark Reed, editor-in-chief. Townsend, a member of the fourth form at Asheville School, has been a mem ber of the newspaper staff for the past two years. A record breakng 455.8 million bushels of 1952-crop wheat had been put under price support as of February 15.
