J. Thomas Fowler, 47, of Ruth
erfordton R-2, died at the Ruther
ford Hospital at 6:30 p. m., Wed
nesday after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
Birdy Proctor Fowler; one son, ,1.
T. Fowler Jr.; three daughters,
Ruth, Margaret and Brenda Fow
ler, ail of the home; his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Fowler of Mill
Spring R-l; eight sisters, Mrs.
Mamie Harris, Mrs. Herbert Hunt
singer and Mrs. Mackey Wnite
sides of Mill Spring, Mrs. R. B.
Newman of Columbus, Miss Bessie
Fowler of Lyman, Mrs. Paul Hodge
of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers,
Grady and Ed Fowler of Mill
Spring R-l.
He was a native of Polk County
but had resided in Rutherford for
the past 15 years.
Funeral services Friday at 3 p.
m., at Pea Ridge Baptist Church
in Polk County, conducted by the
Revs. Lewis Griswold, Wade Ruff
and Glenn Parton. Burial in the
church cemetery.—The Spartan
