Jane Conner of Indianapolis, Ind., student of Tryon 7th grade won first place; Joan Davis of the 4th grade was second; Anna Swann, 5th grade, third; Lucy Klatte, 8th grade, fourth. Honorable mention was awarded the following: From the 3rd grade: Georgia Rhodes, Mary Ann Williams, Marty Watermann, Mar garet Calhoun, Mildred Rippy, Bob by Millikin, Joan Wharmsby, Louise McGraw, James Mathis, Dixie Gordon, Brenda Simms.
