JAMES GREENWAY
James Thomas (Doc) Greenway,
83, veterinarian of the Green Creek
section of Polk County, died Tues
day morning at 11:30 at his home
following an iliness of four weeks.
! He was the son of the late John
J and Mary Booker Petty Greenway.
Surviving are his wife, Lizzie
Greenway; two sons, C. C. of Ches
| nee R-l, and T. S. of Green Creek ;
. three daughters, Mrs. Lillie
1 Abrams of Rutherfordton, Mrs.
Carrie Morris of Tryon Route 1,
! and Miss Bertha Greenway of
Green Creek; two brothers, Bill of
High Point and John of Shelby;
one sister, Mrs. E. M. Horne of
Green Creek; 17 grandchildren and
| 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conduct

goal of 290 has been set for Sun
day school attendance next Sun
day. A Cradle Roll Dept, is being
organized. Next Sunday a special
progranj to recognize mothers and
