C., who was unable to meet his speaking date at the Tryon Kiwanis Club last week is^ expected to be the Club’s speaker’s Tuesday. ROY GAINES Roy Gaines, 57, died Thursday in the Veterans Administration Hospital, at Vancouver, Washing ton, where he had been ill for °ome time following, service in World War II. The body will be returned to Tryon next week for burial on the family lot. Mr. Gaines was a son of fvP into Mr. and Mrs. Wright J. Gaines, opd helrwd his father in the build ing business for many years. He is survived by his brother, Paul Gaines, a-d an aunt, Mrs. Maggie Hart of Saluda. Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Ballew re ceived news of his death from the government and are making the contacts with family and friends.
