enough for a fire last night and
this morning as the result of the
thunder and hail storm southeast J
of Tryon. The thunderstorm in the j
Inman area uprooted trees, blew j
down telephone and power lines j
about 8:45 p. m. Sunday. The roofs j
of many building were blown off. j
A railroad official on the morning j
train said the corn fields on both ]
sides of the railroad track looked
as if they were ruined. He had not j
seen The Spartanburg Herald and i
didn’t know what had happened ... !

disagree with them. He believes
in the policy that the truth will

long run. We must be strong to

JUNIOR GOLFERS

are in Charlotte for the Fourth
annual Carolinas Golf Association
Junior Championship Tournament.
All youngsters in the Carolinas
are invited. One pro plays with
each team of three. Boys under 12
will play 9 ho1 os and those over
12 will play 18 holes. There is no
entry fee or other playing charges.
