Weather Monday: High 93, low
68. It was 96 in Spartanburg on
Monday. Now is the time for people
to keep their premises cleaner.
There' are more flies than usual.
The drug stores and grocery stores
should join hands and spray the
sidewalks and entrances to their
places of business and give proof
that the stuff they sell really works
to kill insects. Over 6,000 children
were inoculated against polio in
Caldwell County Monday. This
keeping fit is a constant area prob
lem even bigger than a county.
Watch people who throw empty
cartons on the sidewalks. In some
places it is against the law. People
have the kind of government and
community they are willing to put
up with. Let’s keep on our toes
for better health and better ap
pearance through cleanliness.
