of a son, George William Denton

of Inman, S. C., and Mr. and Mrs.
W. A. Denton of R-l, Tryon.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Davis, Miss
Sydney Davis, Miss Jean McCrain,
Mrs. Daisy Mash and A|3c Wayne
Westbrook, accompanied by Mr.
and Mrs. Seth Taylor, of Spartan
burg, were Sunday guests of Mr.
and Mrs. W. D. Westbrook at
Green Creek.
Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Feagan
have had as guests this week, Mr.
and Mrs. Ernest Faulkner and
children of Palatka, Fia. Mrs.
Faulkner is Mrs. Feagan's sister.
Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Hall have
as their guests this week, Mrs
Hall's brother and sister-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. George Plumley of
Franklin, Indiana.

H. M. Robert Lee Hill, native of
Columbus, has completed 9 years
this month in "the Navy. Having
been stationed at Charleston, 2
years, Hill goes aboard ship on
August 15th for sea duty in and
around Charleston. He evpe"t,s to
Wve September 8t^ aboard ship
for sea duty in Key West, Fla.', for
five weeks.
