When “Miss Ersell” was nearly a year old, Mr. Horne shipped her by express to his father on Tryon Route One. He wanted to try her out. The father. J. P. Horne, who is 80 years old, wrote a message to his son and fastened it to the pigeon’s leg and released her early one morning. The next morning she arrived in Tampa, Fla., at J. R.
