Bishop Homer Tomlinson of the Church of God was arrested Wednesday for damaging the concrete Tenl Commandments .erected on a moun tain near Murphy, N. C. He claimed the- commandments were being worshipped as an idol. An other faction of the .church head ed by his brother, the Rev. Mil ton Tomlinson, use the place as a shrine .... Folks in this area are looking forward to two big days this week: Friday and Sat urday. Arthur Smith and his Cracker-Jacks will be at the Try on school auditorium Friday night at 8, along with some local talent. The place is bound to be full' of people. Whether it will hold them or not is a question bothering some officials . . . The Rotary .Club and thev Duplicate Bridge Club also meet Friday. Saturday af ternoon and night will be full with programs at Harmon Field beginning at 2 o’clock. The foot ball game starts at 7.30. Some thing will be going on all tKe time. Bradley, 74, of Saluda died at 5 p. m. on; Wednesday at the home of a daugh ter, Mrs. G. W. Bridgeman, of near Landrum. He was born and reared in the Friendship Church community near oaiuua, son oi tne late UOie man and Martha Newman Brad ley. He was the husband of the late Clissa Stepp Bradley. Surviving1 are four daughters, Mrs. Effie Cantrell of Henderson ville, Mrs. Bridgeman of near Landrum, Mrs. Cora Bridgeman of Gastonia and Mrs. R. L. White of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one son, James Bradley of Bogart, Ga.; one brother, Lewis Bradley of Travelers Rest; two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Hudson of Tryon and | Mrs. Savannah Justice of Hender 1 sopville; 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, i — Funeral services will be con | ducted Friday at 2i30 p. m. at j Friendship Church by the Revs. J.
