fer of K. A. Bowen, manager of
the Tryon branch to the manager- !
ship of - the Gastonia branch. j
Mr. Bowen succeeds Zeb M. j
Harry, who takes the place of j
J. D. Henry at Salisbury. Mr. |
Henry was transferred to Green- j
ville, S. C., to succeed W. B. Ellis
Jr., who has resigned as manager
but will remain with the company
as a consultant." ' /
A successor to Mr. Bowen at
Tryon has not been announced. In
the meantime the Tryon office will
he directed bv Manager J. D.
Sloan of the Hendersonville dis
trict of which Tryon territory is

derful spirit that dominates the

day afternoon and evening at
Harmon Field When the Tryon
P.-T. .A. sponsored a canrval with
entertainment that appealed to all,
so evident from the% large num
bers of enthusiastic participants.
It took a great many energetic
hard working volunteers to put
it on and it took many participants
to make it such a? success. There
were ponies to ride, airplane
trips, tours bVmotor for the tinv
ones, games of skill and chance,
end manv other features that
evervone found enjoyable. The re
freshments were varied and well
patronized. - •.
