sponsored Circus. It is CIRCUS
DAY and'hundreds of folk, young
and old will be at the junction
of Skyuka . Road with Highway
108, to see the tents go up early
this' afternoon. There’ll be plenty
to see starting at 2 o’clock. Night
show at 8 . . . The American
Legion al«o holds its regular meet*
ing tonight at 8 and the Tryon
Presbyterian Church will present
a Japanese* service tonight at 7:30.
The Pentecostal Holiness Qiurch
has a revival underway tonight
and every night this week. The
Tryon M!ethodist WSCS meets to
night at 8 with Mrs. Eda Wall.

MRS. ILA RHODES
Mrs. Ila Constance Rhodes, 71,
of Lynn, died at 8 p. m., Monday
in St. Luke’s Hospital after a long
illness.
She was the widow of S. L.
Rhodes and daughter of the late
i Columbus and Harriet Arledge
| Constance. She was a native of,
I Polk County, a member of the
• Pacolet Baptist Church at Lynn.
! She is survived by two sons,
Ernest and George Rhodes of
Lynn; four brothers, C. W. Con
stance of Lynn, Bowen Constance
I of Columbus, Ezra Constance of
Wilmington and Charlie Constance
of Asheville; one sister, Mrs. Cyn
thia Constance Green of Land
rum, S. C.; 12 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren. '
! Funeral, services will be held
j Wednesday at 3 p. m., at Pacolet
| Baptist Church, Lynn, with the
Rev. Ralph Banning and the Rev.
Finley Orr, officiating. Nephews
! will be pallbearers. Burial will be
j in Tryon cemetery. The body will
