Legion Meeting Tonight
Post No. 250 will have its regu
lar monthly meeting at 8 p, m.
tonight. All members are asked
to attend. Arrangements will be
made for the delivering of at
least 250 Christmas packages to
underprivileged children. -

business matters, and not have

Columbus Garden Club
To Meet Thursday
The Columbus Garden club will
meet Thursday at 3:45 p. m. at
the home of Mirs. James Vinson.
Members will bring Christmas ar
rangements or decorations. Each
member will also bring a gift to
exchange and one to give to a child.
The Lanier Club repeats its in
vitation to the 'community to join
with its. members in commencing
the Christmas season with music
'•nd wodwin. The meeting is to
be held in the High School audi-*
torium on Wednesday, Dec. • 2,
at 8 fh m. The program will be
given by the Boys' Choir from
Christ School, Arden, N. C. This
is a private school under the
headmastership of David Harris,
whose father held the position
before him. Mr. Harris refused a ,
call to a famous northern school
because of his devotion to Christ
School , and' its ideals. Several
local boys attend. Come and hear
them sing their Carols and other
appropriate music and when the
program is over enjoy -also the
refreshments that will be serv
