The usual get together of families and friends. Chief Lewis Lindsey asks that a notice be put in the paper to thank all those who contributed so generous ly to their Christmas presents.. He" said it ' was mighty nice of the '"people to think of them and that «they greatly appreciate it . . . Af ter Christmas Sales are getting under way now in Tryon stores, j It will pay our readers to watch the ads 'in the Bulletin and take advantage of these savings. You can’t make money any easier or quicker. The Bulletin is the best advertising medium in this area. The merchant gets all the benefits of direct mail advertising because the Bulletin is so small. He has no addressing or mailing to do. An ad in the Bulletin is a great time saver, money saver and v worry saver. It will make money for the merchant as well as for the customer if the merchant has something to offer that appeals to the consumer. Everyone is busy trying to close out the old year and get ready for the new. . . . To the police department for their splendid help at our party and for their year around cooperation in helping us to answer the fire alarms we are ever grateful. Kim brell, Landrum; Mrs. Stanford Case, Tryon. Mr. and Mrs. Mack Durham are parents of a son born Dec. 27, at 8:30 a. m. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Waldrop are parents of a son born Dec. 28, at 6:05 a. m. Patients discharged include Mrs. Clyde Crissone, of Tryon and Mrs. R. H. Wilds, Landrum. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Swann have returned from a visit in Atlanta. Miss Myrtle Baldwin has re turned to Tryon from a two day Christmas visit with relatives at Laurens, S. C.
