MRS. H. T. RINDAL
-Mrs. H. T. Rindal (Sue Tucker),
29, wife of H. T, Rindal, general
manager of Berkeley Mills, Hen
dersonville, died suddenly at a Hen
dersonville Hospital about 5 p. m.
Monday, soon after the birth of
a daughter.
Funeral arrangements were in
complete at press time, and will
be announced by Thomas Shepherd
Funeral Home of Hendersonville.
Mrs. Rindal was a native of Cin
cinnati,1 Ohio, daughter of Law
rence Edward Tucker of. Los An
geles, and the late Mrs. Mildred
Carpenter Tucker.
Mrs.’ Rindal had lived in De
torit, and for several years in
Indianapolis before coming to
North Carolina in 1950 when she
and Mr. Rindal were married.
• Besides her husband and father
she is survived by a son, an infant
daughter and a brother, L. E.
Tucker Jr. of Los Angeles.
Mrs. Rindal had often visited
Tryon and was a member of the
Tryon Hounds and the Tryon*
Riding & Hunt Club and took an
active part in the social activities
of these two organizations.
Stores Open New Year’s
Tijyon food stores have changed
their schedule and will be OPEN
NEW YEAR’S instead of closed
as originally planned through the
Chamber of Comnjerce committee,
according to an announcement" by
Ralph Farthing, chairman of the
Merchants Committee.
“YANK IN THE R*A.F.”
The movie tonight (Tuesday) at
1 Lake Lanier Drive-In Theatre
should be “A Yank In the R.A.F.”
instead of “.Split Second” which
was shown Sunday.
MRS. LULA HUTCHINS
Rutherfordton.—Mrs. Lula Hut
chins, 51, of Rutherfordton R-2,
died at Rutherford County Hos
pital Sunday afternoon at 5.
.She lived in the Oak Springs
community.
Surviving are her husband, Zeb
Hutchins; four sons, Ernest of
Mill Spring, Herbert of Ruther
fordton, Westley of Gilkey and
Roger of the home; two daughters,
Mrs. Luther Hodge of Spindale and
Betty of the home; five sisters,
Mrs. Jonas Hodge of Rutherford
ton R-2, Mrs. Harrison Hender
son of Cowpens, Mrs. Jack Hen
derson of Chesnee, Mrs. Rossie
Hutchins of Rutherfordton, Miss
Ethel Gibbs of Jacksonville, Fla.;
two brothers, Otho Gibbs of Ruth
erfordton, and Pink of Mill Spring
and six grandchildren.
Funeral services Tuesday after
noon at 2 in Pleasant Hill Bap
tist Church by the Revs. Paul
Benfield and Glenn Parton. Burial
in'the church cemetery.—Spartan
