Landrum including the grocery
stores will be closed all day Fri
day, New Year’s Day, and will
reopen Saturday morning for
business as usual.

spending the New Year weekend
with relatives in Tryon.
Arnold Ludwig of Philadelphia,
student at Swarthmore College, is
the guest of Miss Aline ^k)le for
the New Year holidays.^^
J. T. Ross Sr., remains in a
critical condition at 312 Shuler St.,
West Columbia, S. C. Mrs. Ross
is a teacher at Landrum. Friends
writing to him are being reminded
he is at WEST Columbia and
not Columbia.
Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Creasman
have returned from a visit in
Florence, S. C.
Mrs. Oates Sprinkle and daugh
ter, Miss Jacqueline Sprinkle have
returned from Winston - Salem
where they attended the Moravian
Christmas Eve Love Feast at the
Church in Old Salem. They report
the service just as beautiful and
inspiring as the famous Easter
Services which attract thousands
of worshippers every spring.
