granted in Rutherford and Polk
Counties, with some $34,170 of
that figure being loaned and
granted for house repairs,
including winterizlation and
weatherization-type work.
Rental housing comprised the
largest portion of the agency’s
funds for the year in the two
counties with $1,678,290 being
loaned to construct 92 rental units
for low to moderate income
families and senior citizen
housing.
$690,570 in loans was used to
assist eligible farm families to
become farm owners.
In Community Programs the
local office loaned and granted a
total of $691,800 during the year.
The Town of Columbus received
$90,000 for installing a 10 inch'
service line for water to the Polk
County Industrial Park.
The FHA has outstanding at
present $13,084,596 total in all
loan programs.

Answer: There are several
advantages: your return will
probably be processed more
quickly, you will receive your
refund (if any) sooner and if you
make an error you have time to
correct it before the deadline and
avoid possible penalties. If you
were required to make estimated
tax payments during the year you
do not have to pay the January 15
installment if you file your return
by January 31. Also, penalty for
any underpayment stops on the
