Bernier-Rhodes Miss Karen Elizabeth Bernier and William Vance Rhodes were united in marriage in a 1 p.m. ceremony, Saturday, January 19th in St. Peters and Paul Catholic Church in Decatur, Georgia. The Reverend Father Henry Cracz performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Bernier of Decatur. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Linwood Rhodes of Tryon. The bride, who was given in marriage by her parents, wore a white quiana gown with a blouson top featuring an empire collared keyhole neckline, bordered with alecon lace, pearl trimmed to match the cuffs of the long sleeves. The knife pleated skirt with chapel train was edged with a matching lace border. Her chapel length veil was attached to a lace halo and she carried a lace fan presented by the groom’s parents with a floral arrange ment of white carnations, yellow daisies and baby’s breath. The rehersal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held at the Stone Mountain Inn. After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn, Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes will be at home at Stone Mountain, Ga.
