BEFORE THE
NORTH CAROLINA
UTILITIES COMMISSION:
Public Service * Company of
North Carolina, Inc. has made
application to the North Carolina
Utilities Commission pursuant to
the provisions of North Carolina
General Statute 62-133 (f) and
Order in Docket G-100, Sub 14 for
adjustments in its rates and
charges for natural gas service.
Such adjustments increase the
rates and charges by an amount
equal to increases in the cost of
natural gas purchased by Public
Service Company of North
Carolina, Inc. from its supplier,
Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line
Corporation, including related
gross receipts tax amounting to
$.05212 per therm. This increase
is proposed to become effective
on March 20, 1980, subject to the
review of the Commission to
determine if said increase
qualifies under said Section as
being occasioned by an increase
in the wholesale price of gas by
Public Service Company’s sup
plier.
