Alex Walker The highlight of the cermony at Butler Realty annual meeting Sunday night was the unanimous selection by all Butler Realty stockholders and associates of Walker as the Salesman of the Decade. Mr. Butler said of Walker during the presentation speech “This salesman in addition to voluntarily accepting the responsibility of refrigerator maintenance officer has truely excelled in salesmanship. Hardly a selling season passes without Walker showing a client at least one marketable property.” Walker’s acceptance speech was cutshort due to a phone call from his lovely wife, Jackie. Mr. Butler added that as a reward for this outstanding performance that Walker would be awarded an overnight trip to Pea Ridge, N. C. — The Converse College Opera Work shop, under the direction of John McCrae, will present “Scenes from Schubert Operas” Thurs day, February 28, at 8 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall in the Blackman Music Building. Henry Janiec is the musical director. The program is part of the ongoing Discovery-Rediscovery Music Festival sponsored by the Converse School of Music. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
