Miss Pamela Louise Clary
became the bride of Ronald Dean
Champion of Landrum in a 5 p.m.
Saturday wedding at Drayton
Baptist Church.
Daughter of Mrs. Rachel
Mavorine Clary of Columbia and
James H. Clary of Greenville, the
bride is a ward secretary at
General Hospital. She was
graduated from Spartanburg
High School and Spartanburg
Technical College.
Mrs. Mike Teague of Gaffney
attended as matron of honor.
Mrs. Doug Spencer of Landrum
served as a bridesmaid with
Misses Tonja Roberts, Patty
Farmer and Kim Taylor.
Mr. Champion is the son of Ray
Champion of Howard Street,
Landrum, and the late Mrs.
Betsy Champion. A graduate of
Landrum High School and
Spartanburg Technical College,
he attended Spartanburg Method
ist College and works at
Spartanburg County Highway
Department.
The bridegroom had his father
as best man. His brothers,
Jimmy and Danny, both of
Landrum ushered with the
bride’s brother, Cliff, and Doug
Spencer of Landrum.
A church reception was held.
The couple will make their
home at 491 Barnwell Road when
they return from a trip to Santee

4-H Funfest
Talent Show
The 1980 4-H Funfest Talent
Show to be held at the Fine Arts
Center, Saturday, March 22 at 8
p.m. is open to all youth in the
county.
To participate, youth in grades
1-12, must participate in their
school contest or audition first.
The top five acts from each
school will audition at the
semifinals on March 11 at the 4-H
Center at 6:30 p.m. All schools
have the guidelines for the
Funfest.
An open audition will be held
Tuesday, March 11, at 5:30 p.m.
only for those attending schools
not conducting a show or
audition, or for those Polk County
youth attending school outside
the county, or in the case of an act
involving students from more
than one school.
