University at Boone spent the On March 2nd from three until five in the afternoon a reception will be held in the Mural Room of the Tryon Fine Arts Center to honor and to introduce to Tryon, Pamela Rattray Brown of Campobello. The Tryon Painters and Sculptors, Inc., will be proud to display Pamela’s watercolors through the month of March and it is believed that her techniques and choice of subject matter will bring a great deal of pleasure to Tryon. Pamela began her studies at the age of seven and has never relaxed her efforts to enlarge and improve her scope. She is also a regular teacher in the field of art and arranges her teaching schedule to afford her a maximum of time for the pursuit of her own painting. The artist has recently come forth with her first limited edition print, a watercolor of a red fox entitled “Catch me if you can”, and this undertaking has met with wide acclaim. Pamela is the daughter of the late Dr. Malcolm Rattray and Marjorie “Mimi” Rattray who is a floral designer and nationally accredited floral judge.
