John Lynch
John Grant Lynch, 71, of Route
2, Mill Spring died Saturday in a
Spartanburg, S. C., hospital.
Born in Polk County, he was a
son of the late Andy 'H. and Dovie
Williams Lynch. He was the
husband of the late Mildred Jane
Womack Lynch, who died Sept. 2,
1979.
Surviving are two sons, Charles
E. Lynch of Bushnell, Fla. and
Gilmer Lynch of Tryon; two
daughters, Mrs. Thelma Rudolph
and Mrs. Jean Williams of Spar
tanburg; six brothers, Noah,
Clarence and Ceaborn Lynch of
Detroit, Mich., the Rev. George
Abraham and Henry Lynch of
Mill Spring; four sisters, Mrs.
Nellie Ibbotson, Mrs. Mary
Barber, both of Detroit, Mich.,
Mrs. Helen Barnes of Jackson
ville and Mrs. Bertha Jenkins of
Mill Spring; 11 grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m.
Monday in Cooper Gap Baptist
Church of which he was a
members. The Revs. John
Godfrey and Paul Stepp officiat
ed. Burial was in the church
cemetery.
