Tryon Daily Bulletin, Wed., Mar. 5, 1980 Scouter’s Banquet Friday at 7 p.m. Plans have been made for this year’s Scouter’s Recognition Banquet. It will be on Friday, March 7th at the Sunny View Elementary School from 7 to 9 p.m. It will be a covered dish supper. Although each unit is responsible for bringing enough food for each adult and his-her spouse, please bring enough for one other person also. This is for adult Scouter’s only.. Quite a few awards and recognitions will be given and the unit with the best attendance (adults attending per registered boy in the unit) and table decorations will be recognized. Ace Rickenbacker will be the Master of Ceremonies. Lodge Notice Tryon Valley Chapter 411 0. E. S. will have a meeting Thursday, March 6 at 6 p.m. at the Masonic Hall. Kessler Joins Gaut-Pruette Gaut-Pruette Associates has announced that Chip Kessler, of Jigsaw Farm, Tryon, has become the newest member of the group. As Broker-Associate Mr. Kessler has many years of experience in property management, in Tryon as innkeeper of his L’Auberge of Tryon, and previously in Chicago as owner-operator of several large apartment build ings. For the past 18 months, Mr. Kessler’s wife, Penny, has been a Gaut-Pruette Broker-Associate. She is also a member of the Polk County Board of Realtors. Mr. Kessler graduated from the University of Illinois in 1958 with a Bachelor Degree in Sociology and in 1959 with a Master’s in Sociology. Since the Kesslers moved to Tryon in October 1977, he has become interested in acting and has appeared in 4 plays at the Tryon Little Theater.
