Rt. 1. Columbus. Clint, who is 4
years old. seems to be saying.

year.
He has served as Chief of Staff
and Chief of Surgery at St. Luke’s
Hsopital where he was instru
mental in setting up the Tumor
Registry and in developing the
Medical Library. Since his
retirement from active practice
last year, he has served as
chairman of the Operation
Outreach Program at St. Luke’s
Hospital.
He has been a member of the
Tryon Congregational Church of
Christ where he served as a
deacon and trustee.
He has had a great interest in
aviation and was one of the
founders of Fairview Airport in
Landrum. For a number of years
he served as President of the
Polk County Cancer Society. He
was interested in government
and recently became a candidate
for Polk County Commissioner.
He had been named the
“Outstanding Young Man of the
Year” by the Polk County
Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife,
Marion Kreider Bosien; a
daughter, Cynthia Bosien Tor
gerson, Saluda Star Route; two
sons, William Mark Bosien,
Washington, D. C. and Timothy
Jefferson Bosien, Tryon; 2
grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family
requests that memorials be sent
to the Scholarship Fund at the
Tryon Congregational Church of
Christ, St. Luke’s Hospital or the
Polk County Community Foun
dation.
A memorial service will be held
Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Tryon
Congregational Church with the
Rev. Richard L. Jackson,
officiating.
On All-Area Team
Ann Walker, 5’5” senior guard
of Landrum High School was
named by the Spartanburg
Herald to the 1979-80 Girls
All-Area Basketball Team. She is
a repeater from last year’s team
and averaged 19 points a game.
She had a high game of 36 points
this season.
On Honorable Mention was
Dina Smith. 5-10 junior. Polk
Central; Kelli Sheehan, 5-2
senior, Polk Central; Becky
Nesbitt, 5-7 junior, Tryon.
Brady-Alexander
Miss Martha Lynn Brady and
Charles Brian Alexander were. Lynn; Roy Skipper, Rt. 1,
married at First Baptist Church
in Landrum, Saturday afternoon
at 4.
They will make their home at
310 South Hampton Drive,
Spartanburg. Both were gradu
ated from Landrum High School.
The bride, daughter of the Rev.
and Mrs. Otis W. Brady of Belize,
Central America, is a teacher at
E. P. Todd School. She attended
Gardner-Webb College and will
receive a degree from Converse
College in June.
Mr. Alexander, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Alexander, expects
to graduate in May from Wofford
College and plans to teach at
Spartanburg High School.
Miss Charlotte Fletcher of
Charlotte attended as maid of
honor. The bride’s sister-in-law,
Mrs. John Brady, of Greenville
served as a bridesmaid with
Misses Ellen Bailey of Gaffney,
Alexis Copeland of Macon, Ga’
and Kathy Wofford.
Mr. Alexander attended his son
as best man. Ushering with the
bridegroom’s brother. Nelson.
