Mrs. Carroll Greene
Mrs. Blanche Edna Greene,
49, wife of Carroll Greene of Lan-
drum, S. C. died Tuesday mor
ning in Spartanburg General
Hospital.
A native of Polk County, she
was a daughter of Mrs. Laura
Gertrude Blanton and the late
Grady Newton Hood. She was
owner and operator of Blanche’s
Beauty Shop. She was a member
of Gowensville Baptist Church.
Also surviving: stepfather,
Jessie Blanton; sons, Grady R.
Greene of Inman, S. C. and Ron
nie C. Greene of Landrum;
daughters, Gail Greene of Lan
drum, Sandra Kay Johnson of
Inman and Deborah G. Brown of
Landrum; half-brother, Larry
Blanton of Inman; sister, Blennie
Hutchins of Campobello, S. C.;
half-sisters, Ann McCarter of
Inman and Alma Jean Blanton of
Inman; six grandchildren.
Services will be held today
(Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Gowen
sville Baptist Church with the
Rev. Harold Thompson, Rev. Ben
1,1980
Landrum and Rev. Alton Young
officiating. Burial will be in the
church cemetery.
Nephews will serve as
pallbearers.
Petty Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
