Tryon Daily Bulletin, Thurs., Apr. 3,1980 New Voices Still Welcome Adding point to the musical creed of conductor Hans Vigeland is a segment of the ap proaching Spring Concert covering the Liebeslieder of Johannes Brahms. As the chorus swings into rehearsal of these light and delightful “Love Walt zes”, heads begin to sway with the rhythm and toes to tap the floor. The voices are enhanced (or is it entranced) with the four hand piano accompaniment of Pam McNeil and Joe Erwin. The Liebeslieder is just one part of a well balanced program carrying on the growing tradition of musical accomplishment of the Rotary Community Chorus in their semi-annual concerts. There is still time for new voices to join in the fun of preparing for the next concert, sheduled for May 31 and June 1 at the Fine Arts Center. Appear for the next rehearsal at 7:30 p.m., April 7, at the Congregational Church in Tryon. Conductor Vigeland will welcome you. — Reporter Pine Crest Is Praised The April issue of Gourmet magazine has an article on “Gourmet Holidays, North Carolina" by Mimi Elder. The ar ticle tells of various places to see and things to do while in North Carolina. A good portion of the story pertains to Pine Crest Inn (Bob and Fran Hull) and the Tryon area. She tells of the fine climate in the thermal belt area, the beautiful scenry and the wild flowers and birds. She relates a trip to Pearson's Falls and of the delicious box lunch fixed for her by Fran Hull, and is generous in her praise of the food at Pine Crest Inn. It was excellent publicity for all concerned. BREAKFAST For the Steeplechase Beginning at 5 A.M.
