Linda Dearborn Campbell — no
registration — voluntarily dis
missal by state, pay cost of court.
Roy Ben Conner — driving
under the influence — called and
failed to appear.
Linda Ann Constance —
possess marijuana and driving
under the influence — continued
to May 14th.
Charles Crowder — noncom
pliance — continued to May 7th
on conditions he pay $100 and
balance in full by May 7th,
continued under same bond.
George W. Czeckowicz —
speeding 70 in 55 speed zone —
prayer for judgment continued,
pay cost of court.
Dana Leon Dalton — armed
robbery — preliminary hearing
set for April 16th, bond reduced to
$15,000 secured.
Elmer D. Davies, Jr. —
speeding 75 in 55 mile zone —
called and failed to appear, bond
ordered forfeited.
Charles D. Dillingham —
speeding 70 in 55 mile zone —
prayer for judgment, pay cost of
court.
Robert Lee Dorn — armed
robbery — preliminary hearing
set for April 16th, bond reduced to
$15,000 secured.
James Mead Edney —
abandonment and nonsupport —
voluntarily dismissal by state,
parties reached a civil agree- '
ment.
Charles Howard Eva — driving
under the influence (2nd offense)

continued to May 14th.
Edward Elmore Ford —
driving under the influence —
$100 fine and cost of court

Harry C. Gibson — driving
while operator's license revoked

triple bond.
Rene Joseph Tanguay —
speeding 69 in 55 zone — plead
guilty to 60 in 55 zone, pay costs.
Sanford S. Thompson — carry a
concealed weapon — pay $20 fine
and cost of court, weapon to be
returned to defendant by Trooper
Satterfield.
Larry Everett Walker —
speeding 57 in 35 zone — pled
guilty to 50 in 35 zone, pay cost.
Willie J. Whitmire — noncom
pliance — sentence revoked,
credit 12 days confinement,
released on time served.
Donnie Gary — felonious
breaking and entering and
larceny — preliminary hearing
set for April 23rd.
Hugh Edward Bradley —
driving without license and
driving under the influence Ord
offense) — 2years, suspended for
2 years, pay $1,000 fine and cost of
court in both cases, surrender
license, make direct restitution to
his wife for wrecked automobile,
attend alcoholic rehabilitation or
driving classes as recommended
by his commanding officer, be of
good behavior.

First Federal Savings and
Loan Association of Henderson
ville has moved into the top ten
associations in North Carolina
according to a ranking prepared
by the North Carolina Savings
and Loan League. In terms of
total assets, First Federal moved
from llth to ninth in 1979. The
association ended the year with
$202.6 million.
"This move is significant",
according to First Federal
President, William McKay. "We
feel the new ranking firmly
places us among the leaders in
the state. The growth we
experienced in 1979 is an
indication of the confidence
placed in our association by our
customers in each of our four
markets". ।
"All of the other associations
which placed in the top ten
operate major offices in the
largest metropolitan areas in the
state. First Federal was the only
association to rank so high which
strictly has facilities in small
markets."
The savings and loan was also
the only association to place in
the ranking west of Charlotte
Other associations in the report
operate offices in Greensboro,
Raleigh, Charlotte, and Winston-
Salem. First Federal has offices
in Hendersonville, Fletcher,
Marion and Brevard. The
association has filed application
with the Federal Home Loan
Bank Board to establish an office
in Tryon.
