Ford Motor Co. announced Tuesday it will close three plants and cut production in half at four others, eliminating 15,000 jobs. The cuts are designed to save $1.5 billion a year, will reduce Ford’s assembly capacity by 14 percent, or 448.000 vehicles a year. The U. S. Supreme Court Tuesday in a 6-3 decision barred police from forcing their way into a suspect’s home to make an arrest, unless it’s an emergency. The decision requires police to get an arrest warrant first, provided there’s time. The Michigan State court of Appeals refused to release nine striking teachers from jail Tuesday and a lower court judge considered contempt of court citations against 330 other strikers. The strike, which began March 10th in four suburban Districts has idled 1,100 teachers and affected 25,000 students. President Carter Tuesday extended for nine months the mandatory temperature controls for 2 8 million offices, shops and other non residential buildings. Spring Revival At Pea Ridge Baptist A Spring Revival will be held at the Pea Ridge Baptist Church beginning, April 21 and will continue nightly through Satur day, April 16 at 7 o’clock. Rev. Wade Huntley from the Holly Springs Baptist Church of Harris will be the visiting speaker. Special music will be presented each night. Public is invited. Community Watch In Pea Ridge There will be a Community Watch meeting Friday at 7:30 p m. in the Pea Ridge Commun ity Building. All residents of the Pea Ridge Community are asked to be present. The bride-elect is a junior at East Henderson High School. The prospective bridegroom is a 1979 graduate of East Henderson and attended Blue Ridge Tech. He is employed at General Electric. The couple will be married May 23 at Macadonia Baptist Church in Saluda.
