County Commissioner Race there
were 11 to file — 3 Republicans
and 8 Democrats. The Democrats

The 15th annual Horse and Hound
Show is a huge success with the
biggest crowd ever and the
weather perfect. J. M. Brough
ton, candidate for governor,
many state officials and almost
all local candidates were present
at the show. Herbert Oliver,
president of the Atlanta Horse
Show Association was also
present.. Miss Ruby Williams of
Tryon was elected secretary of
the Senior Class of 1940-41 of
Asheville Teachers College.
