The Greensboro Police Depart
ment has been cleared of any
criminal liability stemming from
a shoot-out at a Nov. 3 anti-Klu
Klux Klan rally that left five
demonstrators dead, the U. S.
Justice Dept, said in a letter
released Tuesday.

To Speak At
Grace BAptist Ch.
Dr. Bob Jones, III, president of
Bob Jones University in Green
ville. S. C.. will speak at Grace
Baptist Church. Landrum. S. C.,
on May 4th at 7:00 p m.
Dr. Jones is the third president
of the "World's Most Unusual
University", founded by his late
grandfather in 1927. Under the
leadership of the three Drs.
Jones, it has grown from a small
college with about 100 students to
the largest independent funda
mental Christian institution in
the world The university now has
more than 5,700 students from
throughout the nation and some
30 foreign countries and
territories. One of America's
youngest college chief execu
tives, Dr Jones became presi
dent of BJU in 1971
Like his father and grand
father, but with his own
distinctive style. Dr. Jones is a
forthright, forceful preacher of
the Word of God. More requests
for meetings come in than the
young minister is able to fill with
his heavy and varied schedule of
duties
Dr Jones is also the author of a
booklet about the Jesue Move
ment entitled "Look Again at the
Jesus People”. According to
university sources. "It is a new
approach to a new problem of our
day and turns the light of
Scriptures into the aspects of the
Jesus Movement which brand it

Society Elects
Officers
The Polk County Animal
Protection Society has elected
the following officers: Sheldon A.
Raiser. Pres.; Robert W. Boas,
Vice Pres.; Mrs. John C. Blair,
Treas.; Mrs. Taylor Brady, Sec.
Members of the Board of
Directors will be announced at a

At a meeting last week the
group heard Paul Toney, Animal
Control Officer talk on an
effective spaying program for
dogs and the humane elimina
tion of unwanted animals.
