Wednesday morning was nice, but not as cool as Tuesday and Monday. The gardens need rain, but the weatherman doesn’t predict it before next week. The U. S. House of Repre sentatives censured Rep. Charles H. Wilson making the California Democrat only the third member of Congress to be so chastized this century. He was punished for violating House rules by con verting campaign funds to his own use and for accepting money from a man with a direct interest in legislation before Congress. President Carter said Tuesday that former Attorney General Ramsey Clark so damaged the nation’s foreign policy by traveling to Iran, that “my inclination is within the bounds of the law,” to order him prosecuted. An Oklahoma pastor consider ed a rigorous conservative about the Bible, the Rev. Bailey E. Smith, on Tuesday was elected president of the Southern Baptist Convention in St. Louis. Richard Pryor, comedian and writer, was in critical condition Tuesday, badly burned over the upper half of his body. Crowned Little Miss Landrum was Amy Michele Burns, 5-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Burns. Named Little Mr. Landrum was Jimmy Littlefield, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Marion Littlefield. In the Little Miss Landrum contest Darlene Back, daughter of Mrs. Lorena Back was named 1st runner-up and Amy Gosnell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Gosnell was 2nd runner-up. Named 1st runner-up in the Little Mr. Landrum event was Sean Gosnell, son of Mrs. Ravan Gosnell and 2nd runner-up was Eric Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brownie Larson. Named Mr. and Miss Ticket were Darrell Painter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Painter and Anita Bradley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bradley. Continued On Back Page GOP Fund Raising Event Friday Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Lingerfelt and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kinney are hosting a $50 a ticket fund raising event Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Many Levels in the Hunting Country. Attending the event will be the Honorable John Rhodes of Arizona, Minority Leader of the U. S. House of Representatives and Bill Hendon, Republican Candidate for the House of Representatives from the 11th Congressional District.
