Family Tennis Take serveral couples, two determined youngsters, a house- wife who "always wanted to learn", add others anxious to improve their game, put them all together on the courts at the 4-H Fairgounds in Columbus, and what do you have? Family tennis! At first glance it would seem unlikely that this mixed assort ment of abilities could fit a definition of "class", but thanks to the keen eye of Polk Central Coach Keith Crain, strengths and weaknesses were quickly asses sed and each player assigned to group drill or to one of three volunteer coaches (John Nash, Dale Owens, George Finnic) for individual instruction. Monday evening's Family Tennis Tourna ment was the culmination of this approach to a game which has many would-be players giving up before they start. The lineup of men featured Jack Wolters, Charles Soltis and Paul Culberson with Wolters the winner.
