All Saints’ Day
At Good Shepherd
All Saints' Day, which falls on
November 1 in the church’s
calendar, will be celebrated at
the regular 9:30 a.m. service on
Sunday, November 2, at Good
Shepherd Episcopal Church on
Markham Road in Tryon.
This is an occasion when the
church is mindful of the "great
cloud of witnesses” — those down
through the centuries who have
served their God in the Name of
the Lord Jesus Christ and who
have joined the "great multitude,
from all tribes and peoples and
tongues, standing before the
throne and before the Lamb." It
is customary on this great feast
day to remember those of the
parish or closely related to it who
in the past year have gone from
this life into the next.
Good Shepherd has a goodlv
