Tryon Daily Bulletin, f^^^g 1
Sometimes in an election year we have more than a simple
contest between two political parties.
This year s Polk County Commissioner contest goes beyond the ordinary-
This year the Republicans challenge our whole picture of how we see
ourselves as Polk Citizens. Should we vote for those who claim they started
expensive projects or helped along programs that others really made possible.
De we want to be represented by people who play with the truth? Or do
we vote for Democratic Commissioners like Billy Hugh Ruff and
Hubert McEntyre, men who are willing to take responsibility for
county government all the time, not just when it is convenient?

Democratic County Commissioners
