At Your Service In the days of ERA photographer Jim Moore caught men of the Congregational Church practicing their service for the Women of the Church. On the morning of November 6th the Women of the Church will have their Harvest Sale. Dave Kirby and Ken Selby will assist by carrying the packages of the shoppers to cars parked in the lots of the Congregational Church and the Episcopal Church on Melrose Ave. in Tryon. (Bill Mayberry will also serve on Nov. 6th but he was not available for the practice.) Special Program Nathaniel Krum of Fletcher will present a special Thanksgiving vesper program, "God, the Great Provider”, in colored slides and poetry, Saturday afternoon, November 8, at 4:30, in the Tryon Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mrs. Edward Stokeley is in charge of the program. The public is invited. Want To Be A CPR Instructor Are you interested in becoming a CPR Instructor? Polk County is participating in a statewide program to train adults in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and you can become a part of this dynamic program. A two day workshop has been set up for November 15 and 16 to train and certify new CPR instructors.
