Musical Stars At Fashion Show Frank Dillard of Spartanburg. S. C. will appear as one of the 5 talented musical stars of the Spartanburg Little Theatre to be featured tonight at 7:30 at the Landrum gym. when the Civic League of Landrum will present the fifth in their series of annua) autumn Fashion Shows for the benefit of the League's many projects. It is produced and emceed by Jane Dalton. Fashions are from JAN'S. Frank Dillard is the Regional Manager of Draper Division of Blackwell International He is a native Spartan, studied voice at Converse College under John Richards McCrae. In 1953 he appeared in the Spartanburg Little Theatre's first musical production. Rodger's and Hammerstein's "Allegro." Since Theatre veterans. In addition to the showing of beautiful autumn and holiday fashions from JAN'S by 18 models. these talented performers will present a delightful musical interlude at intermission time. — Reporter Miss Mabel Henderson has returned to her home in Landrum after visiting her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Riddle and son. Frank Dillard is no stranger in this area having done solo work numerous occasions with the Congregational Church Choir in Tryon Other talented music stars appearing along with Mr. Dillard on Thursday evening are: Al Jeter, baritone, teacher at the Spartanburg County 7th District School, Sally Ruth (Walden) Coleman of Taylors. S. C., formerly of Landrum and Pat Dillard, accompanist for the Spartanburg Little Theatre. Jimm Cox, head of the Drama Department of the Spartanburg branch of U.S C will present a hilarious comedy skit “Miss America Finals 1980 — As They Might Have Been." The skit will be presented immediately following the Sports Section of the Fashion showing. Appearing in the skit with Jimm Cox will be Ace Rickenbacker as Bert Parks and Rick Pratt, both Tryon Little Tonight Tryon Daily Bulletin.
