Box 10% OFF ’Piiii^Inirii'^ Plugged Shotguns No Longer Required For Small Game Hunting RALEIGH — Hunters do not need to use plugged shotguns for hunting small game this year, according to enforcement officials of the N. C. Wildlife Resources Commission. In the past, small game hunters could only use shotguns capable of holding a maximum of three shells in the magazine and chamber when hunting quail, squirrel, grouse and rabbit. This provision was eliminated under the 1980 game law. and hunters may now use the maximum number of shells the shotgun will hold when hunting these species. However, shotguns must still be plugged when hunting migratory birds. "Hunters are required to use plugged shotguns limiting them to a maximum of three shots when hunting migratory birds which includes all waterfowl, doves, woodcock and snipe.” said Gene Abernethy, chief of the Commission's Division of Enforcement. “These birds are protected under the federal migratory bird statutes." 17 _1980 Tryon Daily Bulletin, Wed" ^Carousel WANTED: Medium or small FOR SALE: ^ * icnsa^ aluminum or fiber glass boat slide projector 860. ^^ adv. outfit, in good shape and 120 slide tray. 5125. reasonable.
