Patriot Band Plays 24 Hours th^"^ 001 -'™ 13 ^ 12 at 4:09 P m Polk Central Patriot Band a te d a twenty-four hour play- non that ended at 4:09 p.m. on turday. December 13 During 15 time the band was playing "'th the hope of establishing a uiness World Book record. The c cord that they worked to establish was for the most selections played in a twenty-four Order Your Christmas Baked Goods NOW from BRANNON’S SWEETSHOP period by a high school band. Cameramen from WSPA television station were on hand to film the band as they played their first selection, and they returned at 12:00 on Saturday to find the band still playing and looking remarkably well. As the band finished playing their last selection, The Star Spangled Banner, at 4:09 pm., cheers went up from the crowd, church bells were rung, sirens in the town went off and a group of tired, but otherwise well looking band students headed home for some well deserved sleep. The entire band participated and did not play in shifts. The following selections were played by the band: "On Wisconsin ."Scotch Folk Suite".
