VNA Meeting
Members of the past and newly
elected Boards of the V.N A met
at the home of the chairman,
Mrs. Henry Coward, on Warrior
Drive, on January 15. Following
the Annual Meeting luncheon was
served by the hostess.
During the business meeting,
which was purposely shortened in
order that the members present
could prepare for the annual
Fund Drive, a significant report
was given by the Visiting Nurse,
Mrs. David Nielsen. It is of
interest to everyone in this area
to be aware of the following
activities of the V.N. and her
assistant. Mrs George Whitmire,
during the past year:
1. They made 1,315 visits
2 They drove 8,407 miles to
cover those visits.
3. Of those visited 765 paid the
regular fee 57 paid part fee and
493 made no payment.
It is very important to the
Visiting Nurse Association that
all within this area who need the
service a nurse can give will be
able to receive it without regard
to ability to pay for it
The annual drive is now being
launched to help meet this
service goal. If the citizens of
Polk County and surrounding
areas will support this
organization, we will continue to
give the service we have given in
the past
Please mail tax deductible
contributions to The Visiting
Nurse Association. Box 1501,
