of the tanker according to the
Polk County Sheriff’s
Department.
The gasoline truck was
traveling 10 to 15 miles per hour
up a steep grade on I-26 when a
man with a gun jumped onto the
running board of the truck and
pulled the truck over. Its driver,
Glenn Edward Bush, 31, of
Cowpens, S. C. was taken into the

him. At 5:49 p.m. the Tryon
Police Department received a
call from the Saluda Truck Stop
where Bush had been taken and
the Polk County Sheriff's

notified.
The tanker, owned by Keenan
Transport Co. of Chapel Hill and
operated out of Spartanburg, S.
C. held 8,850 gallons of gasoline.
