Tryon Auditorium
Wednesday afternoon the
Tryon School Board accepted the
low bids on revised additions and
alterations to the Tryon
Elementary School Auditorium.
The low bid of General
Contractors was Powers
Construction Co. of Spartanburg
with $76,970 and the electrical
contractor low bid was $36,300 by
Pace Electric Co. in Columbus.
The following General

Miss Mamie Sue McIlroy, 85.
217 Lyncourt Drive, Tryon, died
early Wednesday morning at her
home.
A native of York County, S C
she was a daughter of the late
Tom and Lula Stephens Mcllroy.
She was employed at Oak Hall
for a number of years
She is survived by two nieces
and one nephew.
Graveside services will be held
Saturday at 11 a m. in Evergreen
Cemetery in Chester, S. C
