Duke University Academic Council voted Thursday to urge an end to discussions aimed at putting a Richard Nixon presidential library at Duke The vote was 35-34. The faculty council vote was to be a recommendation to the Duke trustees’ executive committee. But the close vote may serve only to tell the trustees how evenly split the faculty is. Thomas Page, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Page of Columbus, has accepted a position with the Tar Reel Bank in Murfreesboro, C. He will be Assistant to the Vice-President. Business Professional Women has been observing National Business Women’s Week with special activities to focus attention on the accomplishments of working women. Since 1928, when the National Federation first designated a week to honor women in the labor force. National Business Women's Week has become an event widely recognized and celebrated throughout the country. The Thermal Belt Business Professional Women's Club is now accepting ‘ nominations for Woman of the Year or Day. She does not have to be a member of the club.
